The organisation of SIEC/ISBE
SIEC/IBSBE was found in Zurich in 1901, and its headquarters (Permanent
Office) is located in Madison, Wisconsin, USA. Current officers are Dr. Tamra
S. Davis (USA) and General Secretary Dr. Judith Olson-Sutton (USA). The
following nations are members of the organization: Austria, Belgium, Czech
Republic, Denmark, England, Estonia, Fore Lands, Finland, Germany, India,
Iceland, Italy, Norway, Poland, Scotland, South Korea, Spain, Sweden,
Switzerland, and the United States of America. New members from Eastern Europe,
East Asia, Central and South America, and Africa are expected to join in the
near future.
SIEC/ISBE Objectives
Our organization provides a vital link between business and education.
Both business representatives and educators will benefit from affiliation with
SIEC/ISBE through its objectives:
- to provide opportunities to observe, interact, and exchange ideas on
educational strategies with multinational participants
- to provide networking opportunities with business and educational
leaders from around the world
- to provide access to database resources and to disseminate information
via modern technology (i.e. web side, e-mail,fax)
- to access new developments in the fields of intercultural, cross-cultural,
and multicultural education
- to focus on international business topics
